Quick Summary: Refunds available within 24 hours if the song fails to generate properly or has technical issues. No refunds for subjective preferences or after downloading/sharing.
1. Eligible for Refund
You may be eligible for a full refund if:
- Technical Failure: The song failed to generate after payment
- Service Error: You were charged but never received access to the full song
- Major Quality Issues: The audio is corrupted, incomplete, or unplayable
- Duplicate Charges: You were accidentally charged multiple times for the same song
- System Glitch: A confirmed bug prevented you from accessing your purchase
2. NOT Eligible for Refund
Refunds will NOT be granted for:
- Subjective Preferences: You don't like the melody, lyrics, or style (AI output varies)
- Expectation Mismatch: The song doesn't perfectly match what you imagined
- AI Limitations: The AI didn't understand your input exactly as intended
- After Download: You've already downloaded the full-quality MP3
- After Sharing: You've created and shared the song link
- Content Concerns: You're unhappy with the specific words/themes (that you requested)
- Change of Mind: You simply changed your mind after purchase
- Late Requests: More than 24 hours have passed since purchase
3. Time Limits
- Request Window: Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase
- Processing Time: Approved refunds processed within 5-7 business days
- Refund Method: Refunds issued to original payment method via Stripe
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email support@shoutoutsong.com within 24 hours
- Include:
- Your order/transaction ID
- Date and time of purchase
- Specific reason for refund request
- Description of the technical issue (if applicable)
- We'll review and respond within 48 hours
- If approved, refund will be processed within 5-7 business days
5. Early Access Product Disclaimer
Important: ShoutoutSong is an early-access AI product. This means:
- Output quality may vary from song to song
- AI-generated content is inherently unpredictable
- We're continuously improving but cannot guarantee perfection
- By purchasing, you acknowledge these limitations
We encourage you to preview the 15-second clip before purchasing to get a sense of the song's style and quality.
6. Dispute Resolution
If your refund request is denied and you disagree:
- Reply to our email with additional information
- We'll re-review your case within 72 hours
- Our decision after re-review is final
For payment disputes, you may also contact your credit card company or file a dispute through Stripe.
7. Partial Refunds
Partial refunds are NOT offered. Refunds are either:
- Full refund: 100% of purchase price
- No refund: Purchase stands
8. Fraudulent Refund Requests
Abuse of our refund policy may result in:
- Denial of current and future refund requests
- Permanent ban from ShoutoutSong
- Legal action in cases of fraud
9. Technical Support First
Before requesting a refund for technical issues:
- Try a different browser or device
- Check your internet connection
- Clear your browser cache
- Contact support for troubleshooting
Many issues can be resolved quickly without a refund!
10. After Refund Processing
Once a refund is issued:
- Your access to the song will be revoked
- Share links for that song will be deactivated
- You should delete any downloaded copies
- The song may not be re-purchased at a discounted rate
